How it works
You set it up once. After that, clients book through your link and you run the day from one calendar.
1. Set your services and people
Each service gets a length, a price, a buffer after it and, if you want, a deposit. Each person gets their hours, their breaks and the services they do.
A colorist doesn't show up for men's cuts, and a tutor who only teaches math doesn't show up for reading.
2. Share one link
Put it in your Instagram bio, your Google Business Profile, your website and the text you send new clients. It opens on any phone. Clients don't need an app or an account.
3. Clients book a real free time
They pick the service, then a person or "anyone available", then a time. Only times that fit the whole service plus its buffer are shown. You choose how far ahead people can book and how much notice you need.
4. A deposit holds it
A flat amount, a percentage, the full price, or nothing, per service. Your cancellation window is shown before they pay and printed on the confirmation. Card payments go through a payment processor straight to your own account.
5. Reminders go out by themselves
A confirmation right away, a reminder the day before, by text or email as the client chose, in their language. Clients can reply to confirm or tap a link to move the booking.
6. Run the day from one calendar
Day view by person, week view for the whole shop. Paid deposits are marked. You can add walk-ins and phone bookings by hand, block time off, and move a booking with the client notified.
What's ready, what's planned
BookingJam is in early access. The demo on this site runs the same slot rules the app will use. The rest is being built, in this order.
| Part | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Booking page: services, people, free times, buffers, double-booking check | In the demo | Try it on the demo page. Sample businesses, nothing saved. |
| Owner's calendar, day and week views | In the demo | Shows demo bookings next to yours. |
| Calendar file for the client (.ics) | In the demo | Opens in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Outlook. |
| Accounts, your services, people and hours, your own booking link | First release | What early-access users get first. |
| Email confirmations and reminders, EN/ES | First release | With a link to cancel or move. |
| Card deposits through a payment processor | First release | Paid to your own processor account. |
| Text-message reminders | Planned | After email reminders. |
| Two-way sync with Google and Apple calendars | Planned | So personal plans block booking times. |
| Waitlist for full days, packages and memberships | Planned | Ask about it if you need it early. |
